Set Design

A shoot featured in Bound magazine inspired by German 'Sperrmüll' - where people put their unwanted items outside to be collected by other people or the council. We collected pieces left outside the studio, taking certain parts and creating assemblages with the materials - bike tyres, old cardboard, wicker basket. It's an ongoing series which will change and develop as the Sperrmüll changes. Seeing beyond the actual object and deconstructing it to make something new, I like to imagine the multiple lifes these objects can have when ownership is passed on or offered up to someone else. They take on new meanings and roles as they pass hands, they become part of other peoples daily rituals.
